Website Maintenance

Whether you need basic content updates, design improvements, or new features like a shopping cart or photo gallery, I can help you upgrade and maintain your existing website on a short-term or long-term basis.

Affordable Web Development

Harnessing the amazing power of WordPress, I can build you a website that's professional, cost effective, and easy for you to update while still offering plenty of options for advanced customization. From domain registration to site launch, I'll get you set up with everything you need, and everything (including the domain name and hosting space) will belong completely to you.

Custom Web Development

I don't just do WordPress. I can code you a site from scratch or build it in another CMS such as Joomla or Drupal. I also do custom designs. Those with larger budgets may wish to consider this option.

I build more than just websites. What did you have in mind?

I'm an experienced developer of many forms of digital media, including:

  • Flash animations and interactive objects
  • professional e-learning courses and interactive learning objects
  • graphic design and image editing
  • audio production (including voice-over talent)
  • video production and editing (special conditions apply; please inquire)

More to come soon!

I'm in the process of putting together a comprehensive gallery of my past work. In my freelance and full-time careers, I've built and managed websites for many Edmonton-area businesses and ministries, including the Edmonton Mayor's Prayer Breakfast, Increase Your Territory, C3Metro Church, The Right to Wear White and Natural Resource Recovery Group. I've also developed quite a number of media-rich training programs and learning tools. I hope to have many examples available, right here, in the near future.

More about me. (Since you asked.)

I've been dabbling in digital media development since 1995, when my grandfather gave my family our very first computer: a screaming fast IBM 286 that weighed about as much as our car. Since 2007, I've been developing websites and other types of digital media professionally (using much faster computers). I live with my amazing wife and our beautiful baby daughter in the Edmonton area, where I've had the opportunity to develop websites and digital training programs for a number of local businesses and ministries.

In January of 2009, a few months prior to receiving my diploma in digital media design, I took a practicum placement as a full-time multimedia and e-learning developer at a major North American construction company. Upon my graduation, the company hired me on permanently. I continued to work there until September of 2011, when my wife returned to her successful teaching career and I gave up full-time employment to stay home with my (then) seven-month-old daughter. Despite her inclination to mash buttons on the computer keyboard while daddy's trying to work, it's a choice I haven't regretted for a moment. In addition to the joy of building a solid relationship with my daughter, it's allowed me to get back into the website business and to focus more time on my other creative passion, writing fiction.

Technical Mumbo-Jumbo

For the technically minded, I'm fluent in HTML, CSS, PHP/MySQL, XML, JavaScript, Flash (AS3) and a wide variety of development and design tools. This website was coded in PHP, HTML5 and CSS3 with some XML content and lots of help from the jQuery JavaScript library.
